DALLAS (AP) — Trevon Brazile scored 18 of his 24 points after halftime and finished with 10 rebounds as No. 17 Arkansas overcame No. 16 Texas Tech 93-86 on Saturday in a rematch of a Sweet 16 game in last season’s NCAA Tournament.
The Arkansas Razorbacks men’s basketball team beat the Texas Tech Red Raiders 93-86 Saturday in a rematch of the Sweet 16. Though they trailed 49-43 going into halftime, the Hogs heated up with tough defense and clutch buckets to take the lead.
But according to the Hogs, Saturday’s meeting with the Red Raiders at the American Airlines Center is about making a statement, not payback. Arkansas enters ranked No. 17, Texas Tech comes in at No. 16, and both teams would prefer to pretend last year’s Sweet 16 ending is ancient history.
