Ceddanne Rafaela (quad) remains out of the Red Sox' starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Orioles.

The Red Sox placed center fielder Ceddanne Rafaela on the 10-day injured list Sunday with a right quadriceps strain. In a corresponding move, Nate Eaton was recalled from Triple-A Worcester. The move was not out of nowhere, as Rafaela has not appeared in any of the Sox’ three consecutive wins over the Orioles in Baltimore.

While invaluable Red Sox center fielder Ceddanne Rafaela remains day to day with right quad soreness, the days are starting to pile up. Saturday marked the third straight night Rafaela was out of the lineup after exiting Wednesday’s game after feeling soreness and tightness in his right quad.
