Tropical Storm Chantal has formed off the southeastern U.S. coast. The National Hurricane Center in Miami says tropical storm warnings have been issued for portions of the Carolinas.

Tropical Storm Chantal made landfall on the South Carolina coast around 4 a.m. Sunday morning. Heavy rain, gusty winds and rip currents will still be a concern as Chantal travels inland through the Carolinas.
