The Baltimore Orioles released a statement on Monday explaining why Baltimore Ravens wideout Zay Flowers wasn't a "guest splasher" in the team's "Bird Bath" section at Camden Yards for an announced promotion on Saturday.

The Baltimore Orioles are offering complimentary tickets to fans in their “Bird Bath” section after the team promoted Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers as a guest splasher for Saturday's game, then changed plans.

The Orioles’ game on Monday afternoon against the Cleveland Guardians entered a brief delay after home plate umpire Chris Guccione took a foul tip off his mask in the second inning. Guccione exited the game after an evaluation from Orioles head athletic trainer Scott Barringer and was replaced behind the plate by first base umpire James Jean.

The Baltimore Orioles took advantage of Cleveland's wildness on the mound, beating the Guardians 6-4 to snap a six-game losing streak.
