A prosecutor says an armed man accused of charging toward Ohio gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton during a campaign stop at a fair and knocking down two people before troopers stopped him was trying to ask the Democrat questions.

An Ohio man accused of rushing toward Democratic gubernatorial nominee Amy Acton and injuring two people pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor charges.

"Dr. Acton will always stand up to the chaos, hate and vitriol that pits us against one another," said Addie Bullock, Communications Director for the Acton campaign.

Patrick Havas, 38, was arrested Sunday while carrying two pistols and a Taser. His brother, Andrew Havas, gave more than $10,102 to Vivek Ramaswamy and resigned from Jon Husted’s campaign after scrutiny of a 2009 guilty plea in a case involving a 15-year-old.
