Following the news that Jon Bernthal will headline his own Special Presentation on Disney+ as The Punisher, the Frank Castle actor may have dropped a big hint about the comic book story it's inspired

Born Again, Jon Bernthal’s take on Frank Castle / The Punisher is coming back for his own MCU special à la Werewolf by Night and Guardians of the Galaxy. Per Entertainment Weekly, Bernthal will co-write the special’s script with Reinaldo Marcus Green (We Own This City),

Bernthal is also writing the script with his We Own This City director Reinaldo Marcus Green, who will helm this standalone special. “It’s like a shotgun blast of a story, but also has all the pathos and emotion that you want out of a Frank Castle story,” Brad Winderbaum, the head of Marvel Television, tells EW. “It’s so exciting.”

Actor Jon Bernthal is well known for many roles throughout his career, including Shane Walsh in The Walking Dead. Next, he will reprise his role as Frank Castle/Punisher in the Marvel Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again,
