Jailton Almeida scored an opening round finish on the UFC 311 main card, and then turned his attention to Ciryl Gane.

On the main card of UFC 311, we saw a big time matchup in the heavyweight division. One of the most dominant forces in the heavyweight division in Jailton Almeida (21-3) will look for his second straight win when he takes on seventh ranked Serghei Spivac (17-4).

Umar Nurmagomedov was the perfect fighter in the early rounds against UFC bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili. While fatigue did not make a coward of Nurmagomedov, it certainly caused his downfall at UFC 311 on Saturday as Dvalishvili outpointed his foe en route to a unanimous decision win (48-47, 48-47, 49-46) to retain the bantamweight title.

Merab Dvalishvili is inevitable. Despite Umar Nurmagomedov's best efforts in his first crack at UFC gold, Dvalishvili (19-4 MMA, 12-2 UFC) proved his championship metal by getting better as the fight reached deep waters.

Tomorrow night in the co-main event of UFC 311, the bantamweight title is on the line. The two most dominant forces in the bantamweight division will clash as the champion Merab Dvalishvili (18-4) takes on his toughest test in the undefeated Umar Nurmagomedov (18-0).
