CBS' 60 Minutes returns to the air tonight with a new look, several new faces and under new management.

According to CBS, they are officially set to air another brand new episode of their hit news show, “60 Minutes” tonight, September 20, 2026, and it will feature segments about the rise of AI (Artificial Intelligence) data centers, the recent Lindsay Clancy murder trail and more.

The Sept. 13 episode of 60 Minutes delivered 7.94 million on-air viewers, according to Nielsen. That's down about 21 percent from the show's premiere last year, which had 10.03 million viewers on Sept. 28, 2025. The 59th season of the iconic newsmagazine premiered Sept. 13, and nearly 20% fewer viewers tuned in to hear the news of the week.

The revamped "60 Minutes" suffered double-digit ratings declines with its Season 59 premiere. Sunday's episode brought in 7.94 million viewers on CBS, down 21% from last season's premiere, according to Nielsen Big Data + Panel Live + Same Day figures provided to TheWrap.

60 Minutes debuted its new season on Sunday with an exclusive sit down with an Air Force officer who told of his harrowing rescue in Iran. It featured a hideen camera segment on pardon brokers who collect hundreds of thousands or even millions to try to secure Trump’s clemency. And it profile the Los Angeles Rams and head coach Sean McVay.
