Daredevil: Born Again's shocking episode 1 death needs to be revisited sooner or later, for the sake of the late character's Marvel legacy.

Daredevil: Born Again is here and that officially means that the Man Without Fear is now part of the broader MCU. He joins Kingpin (aka Wilson Fisk) who joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe back when Hawkeye hit Disney+ a few years ago. Now that Daredevil is back and patrolling Hell's Kitchen again, the show made sure to explode onto the scene.

Towards the end of the episode, Matt and Fisk meet in a diner for a casual face-off. Fisk mentions mentoring a ward, who Matt says he heard shot him in the face. They're talking about Maya Lopez, who appeared in Hawkeye and then had her own spin-off Echo. They also talk about their many attempts to kill and/or incarcerate each other.
