Cydney Wallace, who serves on the board of directors for the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs, has been named as the 21st member of the new school board.

Cydney Wallace is a mother of four and sits on the board of the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs. Wallace will represent the Chinatown, Bridgeport, Back of the Yards, and Gage Park neighborhoods on the 21-member partly-elected school board.

Mayor Brandon Johnson on Tuesday appointed a final member to the city’s first-ever hybrid Board of Education, the majority of which was seated last month.
