Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson makes final appointment to 21-member partially-elected school board
Cydney Wallace is a mother of four and sits on the board of the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs. Wallace will represent the Chinatown, Bridgeport, Back of the Yards, and Gage Park neighborhoods on the 21-member partly-elected school board.
Mayor Johnson names final Chicago school board member after weeks of delay
His new appointee, Cydney Wallace, works for the Cook County court clerk’s office and is board vice president of the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs, according to a spokesperson for the social justice organization. She is a mother of four, and several of her children attend Chicago Public Schools.
