A helicopter company says two people are dead and another is injured after a helicopter crash near north Vancouver Island Tuesday morning.

Cmdr. Gabriel Edwards, commanding officer of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 5, went missing after an MH-60S Seahawk helicopter crashed on July 1 in the Arabian Sea.

The helicopter went down about 6:15 a.m. Tuesday while in the Loughborough Inlet area for forestry operations.
