The Lady Bulldogs lost their first set to Newton County but rallied back in five sets to win their first volleyball championship, claiming the 4A title with a 3-2 (23-25, 25-21, 25-15, 15-25, 15-5) victory on Oct. 16. Miss Volleyball Allie Keller led New Albany, who also won match MVP.

MHSAA girls golf state finals: Lansing Catholic finishes as Division 4 runner-up

Behind three golfers finishing among the top 20 overall, the Lansing Catholic girls golf team ended its season as the Division 4 state runner-up on Saturday, Oct. 18 at Ferris State’s Katke Course. The Cougars had a two-day total of 746 and finished a stroke behind team champion Grand Rapids NorthPointe Christian.
