Italy Mora, the 19-year-old delegate from Panama, was dismissed last week from the competition for a “personal error” after an “exhaustive evaluation by our disciplinary commission,” Miss Universe organizers told the New York Post. She was also stripped of her Miss Panama title.

The Panamian pageant contestant has addressed the allegations, claiming that her exit stemmed from a heated argument with Miss Universe Panama Director César Anel Rodríguez. She claimed she had gotten into it with the pageant boss over the event’s lack of organization.

Miss Universe contestant Italy Mora, who was set to represent Panama, was expelled from the competition amid rumors that she allegedly made an unauthorized visit to her boyfriend's hotel room, the New York Post reports.
