Week 1 of the 2026 NFL season is officially here, and what better way to begin this season than by having football played on four different days? We had a Super Bowl rematch on Wednesday, Australia football on Thursday and then get a full slate to digest on Sunday,
Sam Farmer makes his picks and score predictions for Week 1 of the 2026 season, with the Rams winning in Australia and the Chargers beating the Cardinals.
For example, back in January when Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix was ruled out of the AFC championship game with a broken ankle suddenly (leaving Jarrett Stidham as the starter), the Broncos went from a lookahead line of Denver -1.5 to +4.5 against the New England Patriots (which was then quickly bet up to Denver +5.5).
Last year was the perfect example of how unpredictable the league can be. Both Seattle and New England had +6000 odds at this time last year to win Super Bowl LX. To put that into perspective, that'd be like if either the Commanders or the Colts (both currently +6000) win Super Bowl LXI this February. Crazy!
