WARSAW, ‌Feb ​3 (Reuters) - Poland's ‌Military ​Counterintelligence ‍Service has ​detained ​an employee ⁠of the Defence ‌Ministry suspected of ​collaborating with ‌Russian ‍intelligence, news ⁠website Onet reported ​citing sources. Reuters was unable to immediately reach a Defence Ministry spokesperson ​for comment.

Russian strikes have damaged Kyiv’s energy infrastructure, leaving residents without heating in freezing winter conditions. Elderly residents say they have not experienced such cold since the Second World War and are relying on makeshift solutions to survive in homes where temperatures hover around 10 degrees Celsius.

During the call, the two leaders condemned Russia’s actions after Moscow launched a combined strike on Ukraine using air- and ground-launched missiles as well as attack drones. Ukraine’s Air Force said 450 of 521 aerial targets were destroyed,
