The club optioned right-handers Franco Aleman, Nic Enright and Daniel Espino to the Triple-A Columbus roster and reassigned outfielders Chase DeLauter and George Valera to minor league camp.

No. 30: RHP, Franco Aleman. The 24-year-old Aleman was born in Yaguajay, Cuba, but moved to the United States at age 11. Aleman attended Braulio Alonso HS in Tampa, Florida.

Aleman, a 10th-round pick in 2021, hasn’t pitched above Class AA. Last year he combined to strike out 84, while walking 18, in 55 innings at Class A Lake County and Class AA Akron.
