The case of missing 37-year-old Huntsville realtor Ronald Leslie Dumas Jr. has escalated from a missing person case to an active abduction investigation, according to the Huntsville Police Department (HPD). “HPD obtained critical new evidence indicating that [Dumas] was abducted on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2024,” the release reads.

Police are now saying a Huntsville real estate agent reported missing nearly two months ago was abducted, marking a "significant shift" in the case from early reports it did not appear he was in any danger.

AMissing and Endangered Person Alert was issued for a Huntsville man who has not been heard from since December of 2024.

Huntsville police said it obtained new evidence prompting the missing person case involving realtor Ronald Dumas Jr. to be upgraded to an active abduction.
