The red carpet show for the event, which was hosted by Willie Geist, Matt Rogers and Leslie Jones, brought in 6.5 million viewers across NBC, Peacock and E! as it aired prior to “SNL50” from 7:00-8:00 p.m. ET.

In the key ad-sales demographic of adults 18-49, SNL50 scored a 2.53 rating across NBC and Peacock, equivalent to about 3.39 million people in that age range. That’s also a five-year high for the network in primetime, excluding sports.

SNL50: The Anniversary Special on Sunday night logged 14.8 million viewers and a 2.53 rating in the 18-49 demo across both the broadcast network and Peacock in time zone-adjusted Live + Same Day ratings.
