Quarterback Jalen Hurts has led the Eagles to two Super Bowls in the past three years, winning one, and was named MVP of this past year’s Super Bowl. At Alabama, he led his team to a comeback victory over the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC Championship game, and he’s also a national champion.

The Philadelphia Eagles are adding a 10th former Alabama player to their preseason roster in an NFL trade with the Houston Texans. The Eagles are getting wide receiver John Metchie III from the Texans, the Philadelphia Inquirer, NFL Network and ESPN reported on Sunday.

Philadelphia agreed to a deal with the Houston Texans to acquire former Alabama star wide receiver John Metchie III and a sixth round pick in exchange for tight end Harrison Bryant and a fifth round pick. Metchie joins a wide receiver room that already includes A.J. Brown, fellow Alabama standout Devonta Smith, and Jahan Dotson.
