The 2025 SEC Softball Tournament has ended rather unceremoniously due to inclement weather in Athens, Georgia. The conference canceled the championship game and declared Oklahoma and Texas A&M co-champions.

The Sooners were seeded second behind Texas A&M even though Oklahoma won the SEC regular season title. For the second straight year, Oklahoma is headed to the NCAA Tournament as the No. 2-overall seed. Last year, the Sooners dropped the regular season series to Texas before avenging that loss to win the Big 12 Tournament.

The OU softball team fell behind big early, then battled back to beat Arkansas 8-6 on Gabbie Garcia’s three-run, walk-off home run Friday in the semifinals of the SEC Tournament.

Despite the shared title, Oklahoma, the tournament's top seed and defending national champion, secured the SEC's automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament. Texas A&M, the second seed, is anticipated to receive an at-large bid.

No. 1 Oklahoma topped LSU 4-1 on Thursday in the quarterfinals of the SEC softball tournament, eliminating the Tigers in Athens, Georgia.
