It's official! Halo: ODST is coming to Helldivers 2 when it launches on Xbox next week, and it's arriving in the form of a Legendary Warbond that's absolutely packed with armour sets, equipment and cosmetics. There's never been a "Legendary Warbond" in Helldivers 2 before, so this is a new tier for the game!

According to the CEO of Helldivers 2 studio Arrowhead, the surprising move to put the popular PvE shooter on Xbox "was all PlayStation."

This has been spotted by various eagle-eyed Xbox fans over the past 24 hours-or-so - they're basically added a "Buy on Xbox" section to the Helldivers 2 page where you can find out more information and be redirected to the Xbox Store.

Arrowhead CEO has told Helldivers 2 fans to “Send your thanks” to PlayStation for the unprecedented upcoming release on Xbox.

Helldivers 2 is coming to Xbox Series X on Aug. 26. (That's the same day that Gears of War makes its debut on PlayStation with Gears of War: Reloaded, a remaster of the first game.)
