The Eagles recently traded for quarterback Sam Howell, making Philly his fourth team in three full NFL seasons.

In a move that could provide insurance for Tanner McKee and make things difficult for Kyle McCord (rookie) and Dorian Thompson-Robinson, the Eagles are trading for Vikings quarterback Sam Howell. The Howell trade comes hours after former Eagles second overall pick, Carson Wentz, worked out for Minnesota ahead of the roster cuts.

With the 2025 NFL season right around the corner, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero revealed that the Eagles have traded to acquire Sam Howell from the Minnesota Vikings.
