Johnson is naming CPS parent Cydney Wallace to represent parts of five neighborhoods on the partly elected, partly appointed school board.

Cydney Wallace is a mother of four and sits on the board of the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs. Wallace will represent the Chinatown, Bridgeport, Back of the Yards, and Gage Park neighborhoods on the 21-member partly-elected school board.

Cydney Wallace, who serves on the board of directors for the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs, has been named as the 21st member of the new school board.

Any two members of the City Council could use a parliamentary maneuver on Wednesday to delay a final vote on the mayor's plan, without having to give a reason.
