NFC Playoff Picture: Seattle Seahawks control the wild card race
Seattle tops the wild card and the San Fransisco 49ers stayed right behind them on their bye. The Chicago Bears fell from the top of the NFC all the way to seventh and barely in with their loss. On the outside looking in is the Detroit Lions, despite winning on Thursday. The Carolina Panthers are a game behind the Lions.
As it stands, the Lions remain on the outside of the playoff picture. They're eighth in the NFC, meaning they sit just one spot outside of the seven-team playoff field. In the NFC North, they are in third place behind the Green Bay Packers (8-4-1) and the Chicago Bears (9-3), which currently hold the top seed.
Seahawks legend Richard Sherman ripped George Pickens’ effort vs. the Lions, then shut down the Cowboys receiver’s NSFW “Legion of Boom” rant with a brutal response.
