Monday could see a high temperature of 83 degrees, but a line of storms on Monday and Tuesday will cause temperatures to drop, according to the National Weather Service.

Severe storms are possible in the Chicago area Monday evening and night. A warm front will push high temperatures into the 80s with increasing winds by the afternoon and into the evening, when gusts could reach 40 to 45 mph.

Skies will become partly cloudy tonight with mild temperatures in the lower 50s. Monday will be warm and windy with south winds gusting over 40 mph at times. Temperatures are expected to soar to around 80 degrees.
