Sunday, several top Florida democrats are slated to return to the state’s newest immigration detention center for a tour, after being turned away a week ago when they showed up unannounced.

Members of Congress and Florida state lawmakers from both parties visited the facility for the first time since it opened on Saturday.

"We've had several other states that are actually using Alligator Alcatraz as a model for how they can partner with us as well," Noem told reporters.
