Quarterback Kyle McCord's time with his hometown Eagles was short, with Philadelphia waiving the rookie just months after picking him in the sixth round of the NFL draft. NFL teams have until 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday to reduce their active rosters to 53 players.

The Eagles have also waived guard Kenyon Green, per CBS insider Matt Zenitz. Green was acquired from the Houston Texans in the C.J Gardner-Johnson trade and was expected to compete for a roster spot, but he battled multiple injuries during training camp and got stuck with the third-team OL.

Ohio State’s starting quarterback from the 2023 season has been waived from his first NFL roster. Multiple reports said that Kyle McCord has been released by the Philadelphia Eagles and won’t make the final 53-man roster for the regular season.
