The vigil was held days after the victim, Michael Montoya II, was stabbed and killed at Maryvale High School. The suspect in the case is being charged as an adult.

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Maryvale High School students went back to in-person classes on Monday, less than a week after a classmate was stabbed to death on campus. Sixteen-year-old Michael Montoya II died after police say classmate Chris Aguilar, also 16, attacked him with a 4-inch pocketknife last Tuesday.
