Barclays and BNP Paribas expect the U.S. Federal Reserve to make a 25-basis-point interest rate cut in September, according to notes dated Friday, citing Chair Jerome Powell's shift in tone at Jackson Hole toward rising risks in the labor market.

Barclays has announced it has cut its mortgage rates once again, this time to as low as 3.79%. The bank, from tomorrow, is offering better deals for those with larger deposits, at least 25%, including reducing one rate from 4.01% to 3.79%.
