Finland's Katariina Kosola curls home the first goal of Euro 2025 in the 70th minute of their Group A game against Iceland in Thun.

Katariina Kosola's goal gave Finland a 1-0 win over 10-woman Iceland in the opening match of the Women's European Championship on Wednesday, giving the Finns the perfect start in Group A which also contains hosts Switzerland and Norway.

K atariina Kosola scored the only goal of the game as Finland’s 16-year wait for a win at a European Championship ended against Iceland at the Stockhorn Arena. The winger’s smart 70th-minute finish came after Iceland’s Hildur Antonsdottir was sent off to swing the opening match of the tournament in Finland’s favour.
