Fred Vasseur has acknowledged that he and Lewis Hamilton “underestimated” the challenge of being successful in the Briton’s first year at Ferrari. Seven-time F1 world champion Hamilton moved to the Scuderia in the off-season after 12 years and six titles with Mercedes.

Lewis Hamilton hasn't had the debut season at Ferrari that he - or anyone associated with the team - would have hoped for. The 40-year-old shocked the F1 world last year by announcing he was leaving Mercedes, ending what was essentially an 18-year association with his former employer.

After 14 rounds in 2025, Antonelli is on 64 points. Antonelli must score 46 points in the final 10 rounds to beat Hamilton’s record. Given Mercedes are often the fourth-fastest car (at worst) during a given weekend, Antonelli will likely be able to beat it.
