A bus passenger in the northeast U.S. state of New Jersey on Monday (July 14) captured dramatic footage of severe flooding on the streets of the town of Guttenberg. Video from the eyewitness, who was on a public bus in the Edgewater neighborhood, showed cars plowing through heavily flooded streets, as water also flowed into her bus.
Footage shows wooden slats from the home on the ground with other debris. The blast took place around the same time heavy rainfall hit the northeast.
Transit agencies in the New York City area were promising a fairly smooth commute with some lingering delays on Tuesday, the morning after heavy rain pummeled the region, flooding parts of the subway system, inundating major roads and causing long flight delays.
