Elmer Fudd didn’t start with that bowling pin look — he actually evolved into it… and then evolved again. His earliest version was a character named Egghead, created by Tex Avery in 1937. The Elmer we know today — hunting “wabbits” — made his big debut in 1940’s A Wild Hare with Bugs Bunny. The round, bowling-pin version came later, around 1941–42, modeled after voice actor Arthur Q. Bryan. By 1943, the studio slimmed him down into the version burned into our cartoon-loving brains today. #FactOr
