Another fave!!! Sir Owen named “sculptures tooth” Glyptodon in 1839, and it has been a legend ever since. Phenomenal specimens have been excavated in Argentina, we have great glyptodont shells with fantastic preservation in Arizona. They take a lot of room to store 🙂. They lived 3 mya to the end of the Ice Age, dying off around 12,000 yrs ago. I doubt we will find any frozen, but maybe we can find a mummy in the high South American deserts?
