**The Stoic Perspective on Death and Its Acceptance** Death, according to Stoicism, is not merely an end but a fundamental part of life's cycle, which should be accepted with equanimity. Stoicism, a philosophical school founded in Athens by Zeno of Citium in the early 3rd century BC, teaches that understanding and accepting death can lead to a more meaningful and serene life. Here's why Stoics believe it's crucial to embrace the concept of death: **1. Liberation from Fear:** The Stoics assert th

Did a double target strike a while back in China during the WWL event. It was more difficult than I had expected and took several tries. I had to dive my ass off to get to the second target so I ended up doing an aggressive S turn right after the first one to drop some altitude. That made it easier to line up for the second one. | Jeb Corliss

This was a project I did in China where I had to hit to separate targets on the same flight. This was the first of the two and I do a big turn to burn altitude to get down to the second target. This was the first time anyone ever hit two separate targets that far apart. James Boole camera man extraordinaire took this awesome footage. #target #wingsuit #proximityflying #adventure #travel #china #flying #basejumping | Jeb Corliss

This was one of many flights I did into the crack in Switzerland. I always loved how this footage shows the effect of wake vertices on the balloons my friend was holding 😉 As a wingsuit rips through the air it creates a wave of turbulence that follows you for hundreds of feet. This also shows the speed we are flying at 👍🏻 #travel #switzerland #crack #basejump #wingsuit #extreme #adventure #balloons | Jeb Corliss

In 2011 we did the first wingsuit fly through of a mountain. Many have done it since and through much smaller openings but this was the first and it was aired live to almost 100 million people in Asia. CCTV in China on multiple channels picked it up as a news story and broke into other programming to show it. My first attempt failed because of a malfunctioning smoke bracket and everyone thought they had watched me die live on TV. When I went for my second attempt it became a phenomenon and wings

This is the most complicated acrobatic maneuver I ever did in base jumping. It's a double full twisting, triple front but it was suppose to be a quad front, didn't go completely to plan on this one. I was only able to complete it about 50% of the time as a quad front and I was only able to do it clean a few times. This is me trying it off the Jin Mao Tower in Shanghai back in 2004. The Jin Mao was not a good location for this mostly because the building is covered in very sharp blades so if you

This is the proximity line I did on the Matterhorn back in 2009. You can see it from beginning to end :) All you have to do is watch the smoke trail. I did this jump 4 times that day to get all the angles they needed for filming. On jump #3 I became super hypoxic in the chopper from exiting at 16,500 ft without oxygen and I was not acclimated for that altitude. I didn't realize how my mind was being effected by the altitude till I almost went in. If I had not picked such a steep line and had suc

BASE jumping Ostankino Tower in Moscow Russia back in 2003. The building had been burned in a massive fire so we had to walk up the stairs for each and every jump we did. This was a triple front pike, half twist, double back 😉 | Jeb Corliss

One of the most beautiful places I have ever been in my life is Balls Pyramid off the east cost of Australia. This volcanic sea mount rises 1,800ft from the ocean over 600 miles out to sea from the Australian main land. It’s truly amazing. I felt like I was flying over an alien water world. | Jeb Corliss

This was my second jump from a window of the Palace hotel. I did this jump in 2003 I believe. It was for a show about illegal sports like street fighting, street racing and BASE jumping. It was for ABC but once Disney’s lawyers found out what they were going to have me do they said no way. So abc just asked me to hire all the crew and they would pay me through a licensing deal. This way all liability would be on me. Seeing I was willing to BASE jump and accept the risk for that they felt it wasn

I am pretty sure this is footage from @jeanjacques_wallis getting a 70 during last years World Wingsuit League competition. He was one of the greatest wingsuit pilots of all time and an even better human being. Always smiling, always positive. You just felt good being around the guy. | Jeb Corliss

This is a continuation from the last reel I posted. The number one question I have been asked over the last 29 years of my jumping career is, “are you afraid to die”. This is how I answer that question 😉 Also someone asked where we landed in the last video and this one shows you 👍🏻 #travel #australia #ballspyramid #lordhoweisland #wingsuit #flying #skydiving #extreme #adventure #reeloftheday | Jeb Corliss
