Marine iguanas have lived in the Galápagos for over 4 million years. They are the only lizards in the world that swim and eat in the ocean. They come from land iguanas, but over time they changed to survive by the sea. They have strong claws to hold onto rocks, flat tails to help them swim, and can dive underwater to eat algae. With their dark skin and ancient look, they feel like animals from the past. Watching them up close is like seeing evolution in real life. 📍Galapagos with @galaxydiverli
