Throwback to when Brad and Carrie hosted the CMAs and everyone could take a joke At the 2011 CMA Awards, Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood opened the show by joking about Hank Williams Jr.’s recent controversy, specifically his comments comparing then President Barack Obama to Hitler during an ESPN appearance. Their parody of his song Family Tradition included altered lyrics like “You can get drunk and start carrying on, but you can’t compare the President to Hitler,” poking fun at the situation
