One of the functions of our Alert & Warning Centers is to coordinate air rescues. One of our State Emergency Operations Officers did that yesterday when an 89-year-old woman needed help getting off of a Clallam County beach yesterday. The incident came up during a tour of the Alert & Warning Center, which also talked about the search and rescue process.
