Tortoise Facts: Lesson for Kids

It takes a village to raise 800 turtles! 🥗🥬 The turtles and tortoises residing at our Turtle Survival Center enjoy feasting on seasonal “Fall salads”. Our tortoises munch on yellow squash, zucchini, pumpkin, and fig on a bed of lettuce. Box turtles require more protein in their diets than tortoises, so they receive the same delicious medley mixed with shrimp, clams, and sardines.
